Thomas Betong is one of Sweden’s leading concrete companies, with operations across the country and a strong focus on quality, safety, and long‑term competence development. Founded in 1955, the company produces ready‑mix and prefabricated concrete from dozens of facilities across Sweden. With many employees working in different locations and roles, digital collaboration and efficient ways of working are critical to keeping the organization connected and productive. As digital tools increasingly became part of everyday work, Thomas Betong identified a clear need: to strengthen employees’ confidence and skills in Microsoft 365, not just from a technical perspective, but to enable smarter collaboration, better structure, and more efficient day‑to‑day work.
Upskilling employees for a smarter digital workplace
Together with Storyals, Thomas Betong launched an upskilling initiative for a group of office workers, focusing on Microsoft 365. The goal was to create a shared digital foundation across the organization and ensure that employees felt confident using the tools they rely on every day.
Through a combination of Storyals on-demand courses, live webinars, and continuous learning support, employees were able to develop their skills at their own pace - directly connected to their daily work. The initiative covered Microsoft Teams, document management, collaboration, planning tools, and an introduction to AI‑powered support with Microsoft Copilot. Storyals’ training is designed to be practical, accessible, and relevant - enabling business users to turn learning into action and apply new skills directly to everyday work.

Strong impact on confidence, collaboration, and efficiency
The results were clear. Employees experienced increased confidence in using Microsoft 365, greater willingness to try new ways of working, and improved collaboration across teams and locations. The initiative also led to better structure, greater efficiency, and inspiration to continue developing digital ways of working, laying a strong foundation for Thomas Betong's future. Storyals role was not only to deliver training but also to support continuous learning over time, helping Thomas Betong transform everyday digital tools into real business value.
