We are happy to announce that Ulrika Almqvist is joining Storyals to help drive business development in a stage of growth. Ulrika possess extensive experience from the tech industry, with the last 11 years working at Microsoft Sweden. She has been working with Microsoft's major accounts and partnerships, most recently in the role as Partner Sales Executive.
Ulrika's key skills lies in building and developing strategic partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, which is exactly what she will focus on for Storyals Swedish market in the role as Business Development Manager.
We met up with Ulrika during her first week at Storyals to get to know her a little better.
You have an extensive background within the tech industry, where did it all begin?
"Oh, It all started decades ago, mid 80's. I then worked at hardware reseller company. Continued in the hardware space at Dell and a distributor called SMG. From there I started at a company called TCM in 1997 and that was my first contacts and collaborations with Microsoft as a licensing partner. A decade past and then I started at Microsoft in 2011. Most of my years at Microsoft I worked in the partner organization. It was also in that position I first came across Storyals!"
Why is joining a growing EdTech company the right step for you right now?
"With my background at Microsoft and seeing and believing that using great digital tools drives collaboration, satisfaction and completeness for the customer - Training is essential! Huge investments in technology needs investments in your employees, it is all moving so fast and you need to give your employees a chance to use the magic at their fingertips."
The digital development is moving at an ever-faster pace. What do you think will be the most significant change to the workplace in 5 years?
"I believe that digital skills will be fundamental in basically all roles within an organization. Also establish a continuous learning culture to understand the new way of work and how to use new tools like AI, Chat Gpt and Co-pilot. These skills is what will put both organizations and people apart in today's workplace."
What is your favorite Microsoft 365 tool?
"I love Teams!"

"I'm an ABBA nerd so I'm super happy that I'm going to London to see ABBA Voyage this summer!"
